title : Analysis of Incomplete Multivariate Data Type de document : printed text Auteur : J.L. Schafer, Author Editeur : New york : Chapman and Hall/CRC Date de publication : 2023 Nombre de pages : 430p. Dimensions : 22*14 ISBN (ou autre code) : 978-1-03-247799-2 Langue : English (eng) Langue originale : English (eng) Indexation : mth Résumé : The last two decades have seen enormous developments in statistical methods for incomplete data. The EM algorithm and its extensions, multiple imputation, and Markov Chain Monte Carlo provide a set of flexible and reliable tools from inference in large classes of missing-data problems. Yet, in practical terms, those developments have had surprisingly little impact on the way most data analysts handle missing values on a routine basis. Analysis of Incomplete Multivariate Data helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, making these missing-data tools accessible to a broad audience. It presents a unified, Bayesian approach to the analysis of incomplete multivariate data, covering datasets in which the variables are continuous, categorical, or both. The focus is applied, where necessary, to help readers thoroughly understand the statistical properties of those methods, and the behavior of the accompanying algorithms. All techniques are illustrated with real data examples, with extended discussion and practical advice. All of the algorithms described in this book have been implemented by the author for general use in the statistical languages S and S Plus. The software is available free of charge on the Internet. title : Smart Cyber Physical Systems : Advances, Challenges and Opportunities Type de document : printed text Auteur : G.R. Karpagam, Author Editeur : New york : Chapman and Hall/CRC Date de publication : 2023 Nombre de pages : 280p. Dimensions : 24*16 ISBN (ou autre code) : 978-0-367-62672-3 Langue : English (eng) Langue originale : English (eng) Indexation : Ocp Résumé : Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) are the new generation of collaborative computational entities, with a prime focus on integration of the physical world and cyber space. Through a feedback mechanism, the system adapts itself to new conditions in real time. The scope of this book includes research experience by experts in CPS infrastructure systems, incorporating sustainability by embedding computing and communication in day-to-day applications. CPS, integrated with Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data, Cloud Computing and Communication, lay a foundation for the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0. This book will be of immense use to practitioners in industries with a focus on autonomous and adaptive configuration, and on optimization, leading to increased agility, elasticity and cost effectiveness. The contributors of this book include renowned academics, industry practitioners and researchers. It offers a rigorous introduction to the theoretical foundations, techniques and practical solutions, through case studies. Building CPS with effective communication, control, intelligence and security is discussed in terms of societal and research perspectives. The objective of this book is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and to achieve progress in CPS by highlighting applications, advances and research challenges. It is highly recommended to be used as a reference book for graduate and post-graduate level programmes in universities, with a focus on research in computer science-related courses Lien vers la ressource électronique : http://opac.centre-univ-mila.dz/z//006-10-1.pdf Smart Cyber Physical Systems : Advances, Challenges and Opportunities [printed text] / G.R. title : Software Engineering Perspectives in Computer Game Development Type de document : printed text Auteur : Kendra M. L. Cooper, Author Editeur : New york : Chapman and Hall/CRC Date de publication : 2023 Nombre de pages : 300p. Dimensions : 24*16 ISBN (ou autre code) : 978-1-03-201164-6 Langue : English (eng) Langue originale : English (eng) Indexation : Prg Résumé : Featuring contributions from leading experts in software engineering, this edited book provides a co mprehensive introduction to computer game software development. It is a complex, interdisciplinary field that relies on contributions from a wide variety of disciplines including arts and humanities, behavioural sciences, business, engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, etc. The book focuses on the emerging research at the intersection of game and software engineering communities. A brief history of game development is presented, which considers the shift from the development of rare games in isolated research environments in the 1950s to their ubiquitous presence in popular culture today. A summary is provided of the latest peer-reviewed research results in computer game development that have been reported at multiple levels of maturity (workshops, conferences, and journals). The core chapters of the book are devoted to sharing emerging research at the intersection of game development and software engineering. In addition, future research opportunities on new software engineering methods for games and serious educational games for software engineering education are highlighted. As an ideal reference for software engineers, developers, educators, and researchers, this book explores game development topics from software engineering and education perspectives. Key Features: Includes contributions from leading academic experts in the community Presents a current collection of emerging research at the intersection of games and software engineering Considers the interdisciplinary field from two broad perspectives: software engineering methods for game development and serious games for software engineering education Provides a snapshot of the recent literature (i.e., 2015-2020) on game development from software engineering perspectives Lien vers la ressource électronique : http://opac.centre-univ-mila.dz/z//005-08-1.pdf Software Engineering Perspectives in Computer Game Development [printed text] / Kendra M.
